Global Vision Leaders Summit Day#5

Today was the last day of the Summit and we started our morning with worship. It was a blessing to hear my brothers and sisters singing praises together to our amazing Lord! Then we trained on how to communicate our church planting movement, recruit, train, and mentor leaders, and organize a church planting movement. This was very helpful information for us to be able to further the vision at DCPI.

The day ended and it was biter sweet because i have made such great friends and i would have to say goodbye for now. This past week has been influential and motivating to me personally. I can see the urgency to train leaders to plant churches so that more will be saved in Christ Jesus. I know that God has called me to go out into His harvest field and i am honored to be apart of this movement that is changing lives for eternity. I will be sharing a few more pictures in the days ahead! My heart longs to see more people saved for Christ and more followers passionate about this movement that God is leading that will change the world! May you be filled with the fullness of Christ and the richness of His love that will never fail!

"And I am with you always to the very end of the age" Jesus Christ

"Wow!" that is a word that is universal to all languages.... and it is a great word choice to describe all that took place today at the Global Vision Leaders Summit! Once again we started our day in the word with a devotional from pastor Michael Knight. His message was given from the book of Philippians chapter two where Paul is speaking to the church in Philippi to imitate the humility that Christ showed. He spoke with so much conviction and passion to challenge us to pour ourselves out for those we lead. Then he asked us to think about what we are saying when we declare that we want to be like Jesus. Pastor Michael said that to Imitate Christ is, "gaining power by restraining oneself for the benefit of others." I was challenged in my own heart when he asked us all, "how low will you go for the people you are over?" This devotion was powerful and moving and i was blessed to be in the room listening!

Later on in the afternoon, I got the privilege to hear what God has been doing in the different world zones of leaders present. It was amazing to hear how lives have been changed and how many leaders have been trained and how many churches had been planted in 2009. The Lord is doing great things! It was also exciting to hear what we are projecting for 2010 and all that God will do! After each leader shared about what the Lord did in 2009 and their plans for 2010, everyone gathered around and prayed for that region and leader. I was humbled and blessed that God has led me to take part in this mission, and have the opportunity to be on a team of such devoted and humble leaders who love serving Christ and others! I have a few pictures below! I pray that you are blessed by what you read and see today and in the days to come!

Global Vision Leaders Summit Day#3

Today our morning devotion was led by Pastor David. He shared out of the book of Mark chapter 4 verses 35-41 where Jesus calms the storm for His disciples. David shared about why we God allows us to go through the storms in life. One reason is so we have an opportunity to go to Him and another reason is so we can see his mighty power displayed in the midst of a storm. During the devotion one thing that challenged me was when David said that we are told to ask the Lord for blessings as read in Matt chapter 7:7 where is says, "Ask and it will be given to you." He challenged us to think of how God has blessings waiting for us already and all we have to do is ask and believe!

Leaders from different world regions shared about the blessing it has been to have trainings held in their regions and the impact it has had on nationals who desire to spread the gospel into all nations. Then we talked about Master trainers and Certified trainers who have been trained and what direction we need to take in 2010 when training new leaders. It is exciting to brainstorm through all that the Lord will do in these next years.

We also got some time to break up into regions and discuss where the Lord might be leading us all for 2010 and where potentially we might hold new training sessions in this year to come. It is great setting a vision together to see the Lord utilize the body of Christ for his glory and full impact.

I look forward to tomorrow where leaders will be sharing about how lives have been changed through all that the Lord has been doing in the world through Dynamic Church Planting International. I cant wait to share it with you also! May you all ask and receive the Lord's blessings that He longs to pour out on those who believe! Amen!

Global Vision Leaders Summit Day#2

Today we started our morning out with great worship and a devotion from Bishop Emanuel that challenged me in my faith immensely. He shared out of the book of Mark in chapter eleven where Jesus cursed the fig tree. Emanuel challenged us from the word to recognize that the very moment Jesus spoke the words from His mouth to curse the fig tree, that it had already been accomplished. He challenged us to have faith, that when we speak through the Spirit, to believe that it has already been completed. Emanuel also said that Jesus has given us what we need to bear fruit at any moment no matter what the circumstances are that surround us. This devotion was very powerful because I knew as he was speaking that the Spirit was speaking to me to believe that i will be fully supported and that i will accomplish the Lord's purpose for His mission to reach the world and spread the gospel.

The day continued with more training and meetings to see how each region can work to accomplish the God given goals that DCPI has set of leaders trained and churches planted. As we brainstormed it was exciting to hear what the Lord can do this year and how we have the gift to share in it together. As i spend more time with leaders i am touched and encouraged to be working with a team that truly loves the Lord and devotes their lives to His plan and purpose. It has been so special to get to spend quality time building relationships with them.

Yesterday when we gave introductions most of the leaders introduced themselves and their spouse and children, so naturally when it was my turn i said, "Hi my name is Shauna and I am single and available." It was really funny and the leaders got a good chuckle out of it. After introductions i was told by a few leaders that my husband was to be found in their country. It even makes me laugh as i write this! So i thought it would fade into the background by the second day...but sure enough today more leaders came and said that they are praying for my husband and to visit their countries to find him. One leader from Venezuela even asked me about what i want in a man. Lol! I have never had so many people genuinely on a mission to hook me up!

I will be posting pictures soon and keep watching for the next update!

My prayers and love go out to you all, may you be touched and encouraged by all that the Lord is doing :)

Global Vision Leaders Summit Day #1

Today I woke up bright and early to meet at New Song Church for the first day of the Global Vision Leaders Summit. I was filled with excitement and expectation to meet leaders from all around the world who share the vision to train leaders to plant dynamic churches worldwide to save souls for Christ! It was great seeing familiar faces of leaders i got to meet last year and acquainting myself with new leaders.

I was deeply encouraged by the passion and zeal of leaders from other countries around the world who have a burden in their hearts to preach the gospel and see the Lord's work accomplished. One leader from Egypt talked and prayed with me. It was so incredible to see his passion to plant churches and see lives changed for Christ throughout the 23 Arabic speaking countries in his region. It was humbling for me to think of how he risks his life to share in some of the most dangerous places, one example was Iraq.

We spent the day training on Biblical Principles of Church Planting Movements. To name a few that we studied they are, having a kingdom mindset, courage, Holy Spirit guiding, Word of God, and reproduction of quality leaders. I was blessed as different leaders shared from their hearts about each principle. After hearing these principles we were asked to review "what do you need to BE more?"

I am so thankful as i write these words because i have great favor to be in the center of God's will for my life. I look forward to sharing more of what God is doing in the days ahead. My prayer is that more people will catch the Lord's vision of a million churches planted worldwide to save souls as they enter into a relationship with Jesus Christ!

Matt 28:19-20 "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything i have commanded you, and surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
