New Opportunities at DCPI

This month has been exciting for me at the office. I have now began taking over the volunteer ministry at DCPI. It is so encouraging for me to be in contact and get to know those who have a heart to volunteer their time to our ministry. It has also brought new life into our office to see smiling faces serving and blessing our staff as they volunteer.
I am also excited to have the opportunity to help train leaders in church planting essentials this Sunday April 17th in Orange County for my first time since I was trained last April. It feels wonderful to be helping with my first training as a certified trainer. Please pray that the training would be a great resource for leaders and that they would be empowered to go out and plant churches and change lives for Christ!

Personal Life update/ Encouragement!

I sat at my office early this month and listened to the birds chirping outside. It was so beautiful. They sang as if they had not a worry in the world. It reminded me of the verse in Matthew 6:26, “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly father feeds them.” This verse has reminded me at many points in my life that I am provided for by my father. He has been whispering His deep truths into my heart this month. I have been filled with the Joy of His Spirit as I spend time in His word.

This was the start of a new beginning for me. You see, for the past few months I was struggling to stay in the word, It was a constant battle for me to sit and make it a priority. In my heart I know that I must spend time with my Father, it is in Him that I live, move, and have my being. Acts 17:28. And yet it was a constant struggle for me. I realized early this month that I wanted to have my dependence fully on God and not the things of this world. In proverbs 18:10 I was reminded that, “The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.” It is when I spend time in His presence daily that I experience the safety and strength of my Lord. Oh how I love the outcome when I choose to run to Him often. I pray that the Lord would use these words in your life today. He is your strong tower and your hiding place. May we all find shelter in the shadow of His wings as we dwell together in His presence.

Thank you for being in my life and taking part in all that God is doing everyday to make His name known to the nations!
With Great Love,

Shauna Salerno
